[未校訂]Volcanic Activity in Japan during the Period
between June 1931 and June 1934
1841, On May 23,an outburst.
In August, a big erplosion occurred
and enormous quantity of ejecta-
menta was thrawn out, thus deras-
tating the villages at the western
foot of the volcano, such as Moto-
mura, Mukaehama, etc. If is said
that about 27-28 years ago roar-
inag and tremblings were feet
by the islanders.
